In 2008, Central BBQ won 1st place in the Memphis Flyer Best of Memphis Reader's Poll in the category of Best Barbecue, and 3rd place for Best Ribs. Central BBQ also won Bronze Awards in the 2007 Memphis magazine Reader's Restaurant Poll in the categories of Best BBQ and Best Ribs.
